“Absence makes the heart grow fonder” means that the time you spend away from one you love makes you love the person even more. Further, it refers to the fact that the lack of something increases the desire for it.

我是個不喜歡說承諾的人，因為我總是覺得一旦說出的話，就一定要做到，如果做不到，當初又何必說。我寧可不說太多，而表現在我的行為中，讓對方感受到我是怎麼想的。
